christmas what nots…
what is special about this yuletide season?…
i’ve been trying to figure this out for the last three years i have not spent it with the usual practices we do in the family…not to mention that i was not at home during those days…
i mean, people say they don’t have money and are lacking financially. ironic it may seemed but everytime i passed along the road where malls and shopping stalls abound, people come and go with plastics and shopping bags in their hands…
restaurants are crowded with folks and their families chatting and laughing out loud…
i don’t know and i ain’t sure if this will proper to conclude that we filipinos nowadays think of this supposedly meaningful and blessed season of joy and giving as something that is of spending and merry-making only…it could be a part but why is it that we still have to make a fete out of it? why are we so much pressured to prepare a special course of a meal in our dining tables? why are we supposed to give every one we know a gift or two?
